Spreading processes in post-epidemic environments

چکیده

We analyze infection spreading processes in a system where only fraction $p$ of individuals can be affected by disease, while remaining $1-p$ are immune. Such picture emerge as natural consequence previously terminated epidemic process or arise formerly vaccinated population. To this end, we apply the synchronous cellular automata algorithm studying stationary states and spatial patterning SI, SIS SIR models on square lattice with active sites. A concept "safety patterns" susceptible agents surrounded immune naturally arises proposed system, which plays an important role course under consideration. Detailed analysis distribution such patterns is given, turn determine infected state $I^*(p)$. Estimates for threshold values basic reproduction number $R_0^c$ function obtained well. In particular, our results allow to predict optimal individuals, needed advance order get maximal unaffected given curing rate.

Levy-flight spreading of epidemic processes leading to percolating clusters

We consider two stochastic processes, the Gribov process and the general epidemic process, that describe the spreading of an infectious disease. In contrast to the usually assumed case of short-range infections that lead, at the critical point, to directed and isotropic percolation respectively, we consider long-range infections with a probability distribution decaying in d dimensions with the ...

Epidemic spreading in evolving networks.

A model for epidemic spreading on rewiring networks is introduced and analyzed for the case of scale free steady state networks. It is found that contrary to what one would have naively expected, the rewiring process typically tends to suppress epidemic spreading. In particular it is found, that as in static networks under a mean-field approximation, rewiring networks with degree distribution e...

Epidemic spreading survey

Lots of real word problems can be motivated and modeled as spreads of epidemics through a network. Prominent examples include the spread of worms and email viruses over the Internet, the spread of disease among the population, and the spread of harmful gossip or panic in a social network. We want to protect computer networks from viruses, prevent disease spreads, and control the leakage of sens...
